Get Your Barre On-Beachbody's Barre Blend Coming Soon!

I get so excited when the fitness company I represent, Team Beachbody, showcases new fitness programs that are in production. I am a gal who really does enjoy fitness, and learning about new workout programs gets me excited to change up my current routine in order to keep my body healthy and strong and able.

Working out is a great way to combat all the internal stress. Working out also creates endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. And happy people don’t just kill their husbands…..or people in general. (Name that movie and we will be besties for life!)

So when Beachbody announced that they will be releasing their first ever Barre program, y’all, I died of happiness! I have been waiting for months for the details to be released and I am finally able to share with you some of the details on this amazingness.

So what is Barre Blend?

It is a Low Impact, high intensity and high energy program that helps you to create a lean, toned physique through a combination of ballet barre, Pilates and cardio interval training.

The workouts are 30-40 minutes long, and can be done anywhere you can stream. So in your living room, with a girlfriend, at the gym, in a hotel or outdoors… can barre blend your way to a leaner and stronger you.

If you have ever seen advertisements for barre workouts, you might be fooled into thinking that they are really easy, and girly and you may not see many results because you aren’t necessarily lifting heavy and killing yourself in movement.

I took a barre class years ago, and let me tell you, my body was so sore.

I could barely sit down on the toilet or walk up the stairs. I was in relatively good shape at the time as I had been working out to programs like P90X and Insanity and TurboFire…..but oh my word.

Muscles I didn’t even know existed really felt the effects of a good barre workout.

Which is why I will laugh at you if you tell me it doesn’t look challenging.

I will laugh because I know you will hurt after. And you will regret you ever said the words “easy” and “barre” in the same sentence.

I tease, but really, don’t be fooled.

I am pretty sure a lot of you will fall in love with this program. And you will absolutely love the new super trainer, Elise Joan. She is adorable and sweet and so empowering. Go follow her on IG @elisejoanfitness if you don’t already. She is truly mesmerizing.

What is included in Barre Blend:

2 Prep workouts: Before you jump into the full program, there are two prep workouts that consist of 20 minutes to help you get prepared for what your body will experience with this program. I like to have an idea of what to expect, and I know many of you do too.

40 unique workouts: This program is broken down into 4 phases, with 5 workouts each week. Every two weeks, Elise changes up the moves and level of difficulty so you can keep seeing results.

5 bonus “10 minute enhancement” workouts: These workouts are designed to target specific parts of your body. Think of it like 10 additional minutes of focusing on your abs, arms, legs or booty.

3 Recovery Workouts: Elise created 10 and 15 minute Yoga blend workouts and a Roll and Replenish workout to help you stretch out, release tension, and increase mobility. So important on those rest days!

Other tools included are: "I AM" daily motivational cards, Get started with Barre Blend video, 4 Barre Basics videos, Barre Blend introduction to Nutrition video, Beachbody Guide to Nutrition, Get started guide and a workout calendar.

Along with the tools, if you are following along with the Ultimate Portion fix and/or the 2b Mindset Nutrition programs, you can utilize them along with this program.

What will You Need?

No bar? No problem. All you will need are a pair of light dumbbells(1-5 lbs). Beachbody Resistance loops (or any resistance loops you currently have), Beachbody Barre socks (they are so cute!), and a workout mat, are optional.

How does one get started?

Are you as excited as I am?? I literally cannot wait until I am able to add this program to my fitness toolbox.
